Experience Cutting Edge Cinema – Welcome
The Charles Darwin Film Festival aims to provide a platform for screening the works of local film makers in the Northern Territory and forming part of the developmental process. The festival seeks to embrace the principles of English naturist and geologist Charles Darwin, who observed that natural selection preserved a functional advantage in a species allowing it to compete better in the wild.
LOCAL CONTENT DEFINITION
The CDFF is exclusively for content made in the Northern Territory, where at least 90% of the film must include local content only. The festival may also show films made by local film makers, but filmed outside of the Northern Territory, provided the film maker has been a resident of the Northern Territory for more than 6 months. ‘A Film’ means, an entered film, documentary or music video clip that qualifies under the parameters of this festival.
