Hosted in the Northern Territory

The Charles Darwin Film Festival provides a platform for screening the works of local film makers in the Northern Territory.
Film makers are encouraged to view their films on the big screen along with the cast, crew and friends, and with fellow film makers and local film buffs.
Get involved with the film festival by becoming an audience member or a sponsor. Discover what local film makers are creating, chat with the film makers and vote for your favourite film. Or, you can even make your own film and submit it for screening at the festival.

THIS FESTIVAL WILL BE CLOSED INDEFINITELY

WHY THE CHARLES DARWIN
FILM FESTIVAL?

Our film festival seeks to embrace the principles of English naturist and geologist Charles Darwin, who observed that natural selection preserved a functional advantage in a species allowing it to compete better in the wild. Nature's equivalent to the artificial selective breeding process of live-stock which had become common farming practise over the centuries.

FILM FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP

Business sponsorship of this event is always welcome. The festival will display your corporate logo on the screen between screening sessions and on some marketing materials. Make either a monetary contribution or provide a product for the festival to use as a prize.

WHAT'S ON?

The film festival features everything from short films to short documentaries and music videos. The CDFF is exclusively for content made in the Northern Territory, where at least 90% of the film must include local content only.
